Chefs table

We created the restaurant at the foot of the dunes of De Koog. Delicious food, extensive choice, as many local products as possible and everything is always fresh and homemade. You choose the starters from the chefs in the kitchen, the main and dessert from the menu.

Chef's table

You no longer have to choose the starters in advance. The chef's brigade prepares and serves an extensive selection of regular classics and daily changing seasonal dishes every evening directly from the kitchen. We invite you to pick up your favorite dishes and simply try everything the island has to offer.

Island products

Texel takes food seriously. Here too, attention and patience yield beautiful products. Of course the world famous lamb, but also completely antibiotic-free pigs, limousin cattle, dairy, wine, eggs, special vegetables, asparagus, beer, lots of fresh fish, juicy fruit and berries and herbs from nature.

Opduin is an ambassador of the Slow Food movement and strives to do as much justice as possible to the principles: Authentic, small-scale, sustainably produced, regional, seasonal and transparent about the origin.

Living room feeling

Join us in the evening and be pampered by Kevin Vonk's service team. A relaxing corner for two or with the whole family making good noise, it's all possible. As a hotel, we have taken into account the wishes of all our guests. A quick bite to eat after a warm day at the beach or an extensive dinner until the candles start to flicker. Kids have the space, and you don't have to drive after dinner.

Wiping off the sand from your shoes before taking a seat in a warm and stylish restaurant. Combining pristine products from local farmers with beautiful produce from ‘overseas’, we make sure that you are completely pampered. All with a sincere smile.

Having lunch in Opduin

When the weather is nice, a cup of coffee or an extensive lunch on our dune terrace, while the pheasants scurry among the marram grass. With various sun loungers and seats in the dune path, it is a wonderful place to relax. Non-hotel guests are also very welcome.

Opduin's afternoon BBQ

Between 15 and 17:30, our chefs will light up the BBQ for an afternoon snack.

The snack consists of gamba's from the BBQ with baguette and salad on the side.

The costs for this afternoon snack are 17,50 euro per portion for 2 persons.

Reservations are not required, you can simply take a seat on the terrace!
